So last Friday hubs took us off ~sans trolls~ to Carmel for the night and this was the view from our room. This is just one of the things that I love about living in California; incredibly beautiful scenery. Sure, sure, sure, you've got beautiful scenery where ever the hell it is that you live, too.
And I'll tell you what, if that was my house, I'd never wanna fuckin leave.
Also, it's my iPhone's fault that the pictures are so bad. But then again, it's the bestest shit in so many other ways. So, I'll cut it some slack.
Prolly it's too late to go to this restaurant for Valentine's Day. DAMN. That is to say unless we hop on a plane by tomorrow. Hmmmmm. Would certainly make for a memorable Valentine's Day... trip to Toronto, nice dinner out sans trolls, and some hot sex in a bathroom.

So over the weekend we were with my crazy family again & someone had brought this wine called 7 Deadly Zins. How fuckin cool is that name? No one opened it ~unfortunately~ so I never got a chance to sample it. Probably I should have just opened the shit since we were drinking everything under the sun & moon anyway.
Seven vineyards participated in creating this unique wine. Oh, and the label is even cool. The back of the bottle had a little story, if you will, with each of the 7 sins related to some aspect of the wine. Clever. Did ya catch that? 7 sins = 7 zins?
I'm gonna see if I can pick some of this up soon because now I really wanna try it. Mmmmmmm, chocolate & red wine. Hell yeah.

I love my family and we had a wonderful time over the Christmas holiday, my only problem was with the fuckin political talk. STFU with the political talk, really. It’s Christmas! Besides, not everyone has the same opinion as you people. Me! I don’t have the same opinions as you. And it’s not like I can even have an intelligent debate when they’re gonna say shit like, so & so “has a sour puss ugly face”. I mean really, how the fuck are you suppose to respond to that?! “Yo momma is so fat?” Let’s be adults here. Can we?!
Damn, did I wish my cousin was there because then at least I would have had an ally. Or she would have made everyone laugh and forget the discussion entirely. But no such luck.
So what did I do? I left the fuckin room every time they started in again. I don’t like being outnumbered in a debate. And I certainly was. This seemed the best move on my part, especially when I’m dealing with people that twist shit around and call political figures “sour puss ugly face”.
I’m not even making this up. I wish I was.
It makes me wonder what will happen when my Dad is not around anymore, I don’t even like to think about this, obviously because I want my Dad around for years yet. Whether the cancer will ease up on him will be something else entirely. FUCK!! Cancer fuckin sucks!!! But it was my Dad that brought us together over 30 years ago. These people are my family by marriage. I was so young when my Dad & Stepmom got together that now these people ARE my family. I love my Mom. I love my brother and sisters. I love my nieces & nephews. My brats LOVE their cousins as well as the grandparents & aunts/uncles.
I just don’t know. They’re so rigid in their beliefs and ridiculously prejudiced. It drives me insane. And I’m kind of scared. Am I going to lose my family because we’re not blood family? Will they make the effort to stay connected with me / my family when we have such dissimilar views and beliefs?
Well, this shit certainly ended on an entirely different note than on which it started.
This Hanger 1 citron "Buddha's Hand" vodka is the SHIT! Seriously. It is, by far, the fuckin best flavored vodka that I've tried to date. I gotta pick up their Mandarin Blossom next.
The Three Olives Vodka in Rootbeer is yuuuuummmy! And so is their Chocolate, Grape, and Passionfruit. But obviously on a completely different level.
